Bollywood Super Star Salman Khan’s upcoming film Sultan is all set to release on Wednesday. For the first time, shows have started to get housefull for day one within just two hours of the start of sale of tickets. There is a huge demand now for the tickets of Sultan from everyone.

Sultan has managed to fulfill box office predictions. The Salman Khan, Anushka Sharma film got a massive response, becoming this year’s highest opener at the box office with Rs 36.54 business on first day of its release.

Total screen count of the movie was one of the greatest after Bajirao Mastani. Sultan released on over 5100 screens throughout the world. Among which around 1100 screens were from the overseas market. Not being declared as a tax-free movie in any of the states like Bajrangi Bhaijaan might be a strong point for the filmmakers.

The film hit the screens on July 17, and ever since, has broken several existing box office records. Currently a month after its release, 'Bajrangi Bhaijaan' is estimated to have made a whopping Rs 316 crore at the India box office, and Rs 600 crore worldwide..

The film crossed the Rs 100-crore mark just in India in its first weekend.

‘Shaandaar’s’ teaser poster - Shahid Kapoor and Alia Bhatt

The upcoming film Shaandaar, which will see Shahid Kapoor teaming up with Alia Bhatt for the first time, was unveiled on Tuesday.

In the poster, Bhatt, 22, is seen dozing off with the 34-year-old actor on a bench with rags surrounding them.

Shandaar, a film that will have a destination wedding as its premise, is directed by Vikas Bahl of Queen fame and it marks Kapoor’s first movie after his wedding to Mira Rajput.

Despite new songs typically needing more time to climb the Spotify charts, Drag Me Down’s performance after being released on Friday (July 31) puts it comfortably ahead of established hits Lean On by Major Lazer (2.6m daily streams) and Can’t Feel My Face by The Weeknd (2.4m).
