Rajamouli's Film Crosses ₹100 Crore Mark on Saturday
SS Rajamouli's "Baahubali - the Beginning" at the worldwide box office on Saturday with the gross collection crossing the mark of ₹100 crore in just two days.
Before its release, trade experts had predicted that "Baahubali - the Beginning" would collect ₹30-₹35 crore at the worldwide box office on the first day.
"Baahubali - the Beginning" grossed around ₹75 crore at the worldwide box office on the first day. Its first day net collection and distributors' share stand at ₹62 crore and ₹45 crore respectively in the global market. Its collection is bigger than the business of recent biggest opener "PK" starring Aamir Khan.
Made on a budget of ₹250 crore, the Prabhas-Rana Daggubati-Tamannaah-Anushka Shetty starrer has set a new benchmark in the history of Indian cinema. "Baahubali - the Beginning" has shown the world that the Indian cinema is nothing less than Hollywood or other International film industries in production, marketing and box-office collection.
